Kentucky just landed its first in-state commitment of the 2022 recruiting cycle as Corbin native Treyveon Longmire has announced his pledge to join Mark Stoops’ Wildcat program.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Corbin High School standout is currently ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 34 athlete in the country and the No. 5 overall prospect from the Bluegrass State for the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Longmire is the only top five prospect from the state to announce his college commitment at this time.

Longmire’s primary recruiter was Vince Marrow. He announced his commitment to Kentucky over scholarship offers from Louisville, Arkansas, Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma and Tennessee, among others.

Kentucky now holds three commitments in the 2022 recruiting cycle following Longmire’s pledge as he joins four-star Michigan native Jeremiah Caldwell and three-star Georgia native Andre Stewart as current commits.
