Wan’Dale Robinson discusses transfer to Kentucky, goals as a Wildcat

One of the biggest recruiting victories for Mark Stoops’ staff came via the transfer portal when Wan’Dale Robinson decided to return to his home state and play for the Wildcats.

Robinson recently opened up on his motivations to play for UK and goals as a Wildcat in a video interview shared by the Kentucky football team’s official Twitter account. Robinson entered the portal looking to be closer to home. Seeing what Stoops has done at Kentucky made UK the obvious choice.

“I felt like it was time for me to come home. My mom actually dealt with COVID during this time, so that was really a big reason why,” Robinson said. “Seeing what Coach Stoops was doing with the team and how they were developing and I knew that I could come and add a piece that would hopefully help us get to an SEC championship.”
