Auburn DC Kevin Steele talks about former LSU colleagues Les Miles and Ed Orgeron
Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele served as LSU’s defensive coordinator in 2015 before joining Gus Malzahn’s staff last offseason, so he is quite familiar with Baton Rouge.
Ahead of the Tigers’ Sugar Bowl showdown against Oklahoma on Monday, Steele was asked about his former colleagues Les Miles and Ed Orgeron and the awkward situation Coach O faced when he took over for his former boss after Miles was fired.
Steele said he has a lot of respect for both men and wishes them both the best of luck in the future, according to ESPN reporter David Ching:

Coach O and Steele will match wits on Oct. 14, 2017, when Orgeron’s Tigers host Steele’s Tigers at Death Valley.
For now, though, Coach O will prepare for the Citrus Bowl against Louisville on New Year’s Eve while Steele preps for Monday’s Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
