Derrick Davis, an LSU running back/defensive back, is making the trip with LSU to the Citrus Bowl against Purdue, a school spokesperson confirmed Tuesday. This is odd considering Davis entered his name into the transfer portal on Dec. 12.

Davis has taken a majority of snaps at defensive back, appearing in 2 games this season.

The Tigers are looking to bounce back from their SEC Championship loss to the No. 1 team in the country, Georgia. The Tigers have played well this season and face off against a Purdue team that will be suffering from a large amount of opt-outs from its top players, including QB Aidan O’Connell and WR Charlie Jones.
