If you missed the news this week, LSU has announced it has come to an agreement on a home-and-home series with Clemson. The two Tigers will meet in 2025 in Baton Rouge and make the return trip to Clemson in 2026.

During his latest media availability, Ed Orgeron was asked about his thoughts on the game. While he wasn’t ready to concern himself with games that far out, he did joke about still being around by the time that game rolls around.

Here is how Orgeron initially responded to the question regarding the announced series between LSU and Clemson.

“I take it one day at a time. There’s a lot of stuff going on, that’s all I’m going to say about that,” Orgeron said as he continues to prep his LSU team during training camp.

Before leaving the podium, Orgeron did make a quip regarding the game.

“I just hope I’m coaching the team in 2025. That’d be fine with me,” he said to end his presser.

If Coach O was graded solely on his personality, he’d be the LSU coach for life. Here’s to hoping he’s still around in Baton Rouge by 2025, the SEC could use all the personality it can get from its coaches as one Saban assistant after another lands jobs around the league.
