The injury list was long for LSU as it faced McNeese State on Sept. 11. Now, with Central Michigan on the horizon on Saturday before opening conference play against Mississippi State, Ed Orgeron hopes that a number of key players can get healthy as the meat of the schedule is approaching.

Of course, quarterback Myles Brennan, who needed surgery to repair a broken arm, is near the top of the list. Speaking to the media during his weekly press conference on Thursday, Orgeron stated that the senior may return during the Tigers’ open week in late October prior to their game at Alabama.

As for other injured players, the Tigers will be without running back Armoni Goodwin, but Orgeron is “hopeful” for his return in time for the Sept. 25 game against the Bulldogs. Cornerback Dwight McGlothern has been ruled questionable against the Chippewas on Saturday. Meanwhile, there’s some good news for the offensive line as Austin Decelus is set to play on Saturday, per Orgeron.

As for defensive tackle Glen Logan, who hasn’t played due to a foot injury, Orgeron estimated that the 6th-year senior could be still 2 or 3 weeks out, but called it a “guess”.

The Tigers and Chippewas kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
