Joe Burrow was overcome with emotion Saturday night after winning the 2019 Heisman Trophy.

It took the LSU quarterback a few minutes to collect himself, but he properly thanked his offensive line first. Then, he moved to the weapons around him in his receiving corps and his backfield. He later thanked his family, and he held it all together pretty well while doing so.

Then, Joe Burrow got to Ed Orgeron, and the Tigers quarterback was visibly emotional.

“Coach O, you have no idea what you mean to my family,” Burrow said. “I didn’t play for three years. You took a chance on me not knowing if I could play or not. I’m forever grateful for you. … I sure hope they give him a lifetime contract.”
