LSU QB Joe Burrow turned 23 years old on Tuesday and will likely win the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night.

Likely NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, a former Heisman winner and current Baltimore Raven, won’t turn 23 until next month.

Still, apparently Jackson has respect for his elders, because he said this week that he voted for Burrow with his Heisman vote (via 247Sports):

“The guy who’s playing lights out right now, the one who took down Bama, Joe (Burrow),” Jackson said. “Joe is doing his thing, I can’t lie. He’s doing a tremendous job right now. I feel like they’ll win the national championship.”

It’s pretty interesting that Jackson won the Heisman all the way back in 2016 and is finishing up his second NFL season while Burrow is getting ready for Saturday’s ceremony.

Also interesting? If Burrow goes to the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 1 overall pick, the AFC North will have 3 Heisman-winning QBs — Jackson, Burrow and Cleveland Browns’ starter Baker Mayfield.
