LSU basketball is in the early stages of a roster rebuild.

Justice Williams became the latest player to enter the transfer portal on Thursday, according to a report. On3’s Jamie Shaw was 1st to report that news.

Williams just finished his 2nd season with the Tigers. He played in 23 games this year, starting 7, and averaged 15.9 points per game. He was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2021 who chose to remain with the Tigers even after head coach Will Wade was let go.

He’ll now be looking for a new home as LSU enters its 2nd offseason under head coach Matt McMahon.

What this means for LSU

LSU’s roster rebuild will continue after the Tigers went 14-19 this season.

On Thursday night, LSU lost freshman big Corneilous Williams to the portal. Forward Kendal Coleman and guard Justice Hill have also entered the portal since the end of LSU’s season.

It’s unclear how many other players will depart the program this offseason, but expect LSU to be active in adding players via the portal as well. So far, LSU has signed 2 high school players from the class of 2023.
