The LSU Tigers have a hole to fill at tight end, and they’re getting creative trying to address it.

According to coach Ed Orgeron, 4-star freshman DE Aaron Moffitt — the son of LSU strength coach Tommy Moffitt — will switch to the offensive side of the ball this fall.

Moffitt will try his hand at tight end as a true freshman, something the 6-3, 255-pound player certainly has the size and strength to do:

Junior Foster Moreau will likely be the starter at the tight end position, but Moffitt could end up seeing the field this fall as his backup if he impresses over the course of the next few weeks.

If not, Moffitt can always redshirt this fall and learn the position even more before coming back even stronger in 2018.
