The LSU Tigers have landed a big-time quarterback for their 2020 class, dipping into Georgia to do it.

4-star 2020 pro-style QB Max Johnson announced on Wednesday that he was committing to the Tigers — an interesting decision from former Georgia coach (and current Miami coach) Mark Richt’s nephew.

As you can see below, Johnson made his decision on Twitter, thanking his uncle for being the first to offer him a scholarship:

According to the 247Sports composite, Johnson is the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2020 and the No. 9 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

Johnson is the seventh member of the Tigers’ 2020 class. Prior to his commitment, the LSU class ranked No. 4 in the country and No. 2 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
