Regardless of a prospect’s age, when LSU finds a recruit worth offering, they refuse to be beaten to the punch and have no qualms offering a scholarship to a middle school recruit.

The latest proof comes from 2020 prospect Dustin Dyson from Hammond, Louisiana.

Before even taking a snap at the high school level, the 6-foot-4, 189-pound Dyson has been offered by the Tigers. Dyson came to LSU’s attention during the Tigers’ weekend satellite camp held in New Orleans.

Bonus points for tweet thanks to the young photobomber wrapped around Dyson’s leg.

Dyson is not the first prospect LSU has offered at such a young age, as elite 2017 recruit Dylan Moses was offered by the Tigers all the way back in 2013. The move to pull the trigger on the young Moses prompted Alabama to also offer him a scholarship.

In recent months, Alabama also offered Florida eighth-grader and 2020 prospect Jesus Machado a football scholarship.
