Little did Chasen Hines know he would adopt a new moniker after changing his number.

The freshman lineman began his LSU career as No. 52 but recently changed things up to No. 57. Considering his name is Hines, that’s all the ammunition Jack Marucci, the program’s head athletic trainer, needed to come up with a clever nickname for the lineman — Hines 57.

That’s according to The Advocate staff.

Hines signed with LSU out of Marshall, Texas. The four-star prospect picked the Tigers over Texas after being rated as the No. 21 defensive tackle in the nation but has since been kicked over to the offensive line. With Ed Ingram facing an indefinite suspension, Hines could work his way onto the field sooner than expected in Baton Rouge.

Be on the lookout for No. 57 this fall for the Tigers. His nickname should be pretty easy to remember.
