LSU QB Joe Burrow had himself a night against No. 9 Texas in Austin on Saturday, throwing for 471 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception.

His effort led the Tigers to a big 45-38 victory, and now he’s receiving some national attention for his strong play.

Per Brett McMurphy, Burrow was named one of the two Walter Camp National Players of the Week following Week 2 action:

Weaver helped Cal pull off an upset of Washington while Burrow and LSU picked up the most impressive win of the year so far.

How far can Burrow take this team? He seems to have great chemistry with this receiving corps, so it’ll be interesting to watch moving forward.
