LSU will see a considerable turnover on its offensive line depth chart for the 2023 season, as Xavier Hill became the latest Tiger to enter the transfer portal.

Multiple reports said Xavier Hill is in the portal, and he’s the third offensive lineman to make such a move. Coming out of high school, Hill had Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M among his finalists when he was a 6-foot-3, 325-pound prospect out of Olive Branch High School in Mississippi.

He was a 3-star recruit coming out of high school, and represented Mississippi in the 2019 Mississippi-Alabama Football Classic.

Hill was in the mix to be a starter this past spring, but slipped to being a backup throughout the season. All 3 LSU offensive linemen who have entered the portal were backups.

He came into this season with 4 appearances and 2 starts, and last season, he played in 3 games with 2 starts. He started at left tackle in wins over McNeese and Central Michigan, and also played against UCLA in the season-opener.
