The LSU Tigers have won the Southeastern Conference’s Western Division in 2022.

Who would have thought that after the rough start to the season in the heartbreaking loss to Florida State? Brian Kelly has brought winning back to Baton Rouge, and he’s done it in record time.

LSU won the SEC West Saturday by defeating Arkansas 13-10 and Ole Miss losing 30-24 against Alabama.

The Tigers are currently 8-2 overall and 6-1 in conference with games against UAB and Texas A&M left. That’s likely a 10-win season for the first-year head coach Kelly.

LSU’s losses this season came to Florida State 24-23 and Tennessee 40-13. Wins over ranked opponents No. 7 Ole Miss and No. 6 Alabama were massive.

LSU will likely face top-ranked Georgia in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.

Also, this is the first year that LSU has won the division on an even-numbered year. The last SEC West wins came in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2019.
