Malik Nabers may have separated himself from the group of guys looking to get on the field with Kayshon Boutte.

Nabers, a sophomore, moved to the inside and he has emerged as one of the major standout performers in training camp.

Listed at 6-foot, 195 pounds, Nabers is coming off of a solid freshman year with 28 catches for 417 yards and four touchdowns.

But the former 4-star prospect out of Southside High School in Youngsville, Louisiana is ready to take his game to the next level.

“Transferring from the outside to the inside has helped my game,” Nabers said to Glen West of 247Sports. “I’ve taken the outside stuff to the inside, guys my size and with my leaping ability are hard to cover.”

Nabers’ effort has been noticed by head coach Brian Kelly.

“For me, from the spring to the summer workouts t0o now, he’s obviously stronger physically and his maturity is the thing that stands out,” Kelly said. “When I say maturity, I mean he’s the same guy everyday. He comes to practice prepared, he practices hard, comes with the right attitude, thinks the right way and that’s maturity.”

LSU fans, is Nabers the next superstar wide receiver to come out of the boot?
