Former LSU QB Justin McMillan has his eyes set on a possible transfer destination, and it’s not that far away from Baton Rouge.

Multiple reports suggested that McMillan was blocked from transferring to any SEC schools, and according to one report, not any team on LSU’s schedule in 2018 or 2019. But Bruce Feldman reported that McMillan is strongly considering Tulane as a destination.

A fourth-year junior and graduate transfer, McMillan can play immediately and has two seasons of remaining eligibility through 2019.

Miami, Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana Tech and Rice are on this year’s schedule, while Georgia Southern, Texas, Northwestern State and Utah State are set to play LSU next season.

Tulane is not scheduled to play an SEC team this year, but will play at Auburn in 2019.

One caveat to the recent rule change about transfer restrictions is that it was passed on June 13, but doesn’t go into effect until Oct. 15.

McMillan left LSU in the midst of a four-man quarterback competition. Lowell Narcisse also transferred and is now at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

UPDATE: McMillan has confirmed he will finish his career for Tulane.
