Report: LSU pass rusher Sci Martin no longer with team, set to transfer to community college
The LSU defense has lost a number of players early to the NFL Draft already this year, but now the Tigers are losing another defender as well.
That’s because edge rusher Sci Martin, a 3-star commit in the class of 2016, will transfer away from the program.
According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Martin will head the JUCO route and attend East Mississippi Community College next fall:
Transfer news: Edge rusher Sci Martin is no longer part of the #LSU football program, per source.
According to @JuCoFootballACE he's bound for East Mississippi Community College.

Martin appeared in five games as a true freshman in 2016, recording two tackles. He did not appear on the field this season.
The 6-4, 255-pound pass rusher has the physical attributes to become a talented player in the future, but for now, it appears that future won’t take place in Baton Rouge.
He could be back in the FBS ranks after next season, of course, but we’ll have to wait and see if he appears in the SEC again.
