An interesting name to watch in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 23, will be Justin Jefferson.

The former LSU star is expected to go in Round 1, but it is a subject of debate as to how high he’ll be taken.

Count ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. as one of Jefferson’s biggest believers. On NFL Live on Monday, Kiper said he thinks Jefferson could go in the middle of the first round (via 247Sports):

“Everybody thinks the third receiver is going to be Henry Ruggs of Alabama, CeeDee Lamb of Oklahoma and of course Jerry Jeudy. There’s your top three,” Kiper said on NFL Live. “But Justin Jefferson from LSU has jumped up into that mid-first round area where Denver is picking, where the 49ers are picking. Brilliant year and he ran a 4.43 at the Combine. He put it all together. Justin Jefferson is rising up draft boards. He could be the second, probably the third receiver off the board.”

Can Jefferson succeed without Joe Burrow and Joe Brady and the rest of the LSU star-studded offense? Many NFL teams and analysts certainly believe so.

He will likely hear his name called in Round 1 on April 23.
