LSU is losing former four-star defensive tackle Travonte Valentine. Valentine will transfer to Arizona Western Community College.

Valentine redshirted last season and didn’t participate in spring practice to focus on academics.

The Florida native was rated as the No. 3 defensive tackle in the 2014 recruiting class, as well as the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.

Valentine joins former LSU linebacker Clifton Garrett as the second Top 100 prospect to transfer from the Tigers’ 2014 recruiting class this offseason.

Update: NOLA.com is reporting that Valentine failed multiple drug tests and missed an excessive amount of class time at LSU.
