Upset alert? Lou Holtz picking son Skip's Louisiana Tech squad to upset LSU
LSU has the most-impressive resume in college football, with two wins over top-10 teams away from Baton Rouge.
However, the Tigers will have to be careful with their Week 4 foe — a tough Louisiana Tech team that has played SEC squads competitively the past two years.
On Tuesday morning, former coach Lou Holtz tweeted out that he’s picking Louisiana Tech to beat LSU on Saturday. That’s not a huge surprise, as his son Skip is the coach of the Bulldogs:
Picking @LATechFB to beat @LSUfootball Saturday in Baton Rouge. Not an upset. Upset is what my wife would be if I picked against her son. Last 2 years they lost to S. Carolina and Arkansas on the road by just 1 point on the last play of the game. They will not be intimidated.

Of course Holtz is going to go with his son’s team, but it’s not totally crazy to imagine the Tigers going down at home to Louisiana Tech.
Just look at last year’s loss to Troy and you can see the dangers of this game. However, coach Ed Orgeron has probably learned his lesson and will have his team focused and ready this time around.
