The SEC basketball season is well underway, and during conference action, Mississippi State F Reggie Perry has been an absolute beast.

On Saturday, as Mississippi State beat Tennessee 86-73, Perry was at it again, recording another double-double.

This time, Perry scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. That prompted college basketball insider Jon Rothstein to call Perry the best player in the SEC:

The Bulldogs will go as far as Perry can carry them this season, but that’s good news for Ben Howland’s squad, as Perry seems up to the challenge.

Next, though, the Bulldogs travel to Lexington on Tuesday to take on a really tough Kentucky squad. Will Perry continue his dominant play against fellow star big man Nick Richards?
