There were many that questioned whether Jeffery Simmons would even see the field this season after the former All-SEC standout from Mississippi State tore his ACL preparing for the 2019 NFL Draft. That injury played a part in Simmons’ slight slide in the draft but the Titans may prove to be the big winners in the years to come as the Nashville-based franchise selected the former Hail State standout with the 19th overall pick back in April.

Despite suffering his injury in February, Simmons is ready to return to the practice field for the Titans and is expected to make his NFL debut in the weeks to come.

During his career in Starkville, Simmons registered 163 tackles, seven sacks, 32.5 tackles for a loss and four forced fumbles in three seasons of play as he anchored arguably the nation’s best defense last season.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessee Titans recently caught up with Simmons as the rookie shared his thoughts on returning to the field for the first time since his injury and his upcoming NFL debut.
