Mike Leach getting roasted following Mississippi State’s loss to LSU
By Kevin Duffey
Published:
Mike Leach and Mississippi State started out of the gate strong against LSU; however, things fell apart in the second half.
Mississippi State held a 13-0 lead over LSU late in the second quarter before LSU came roaring back. The Tigers scored just before halftime to cut the Bulldogs lead to 13-7.
MSU hit another field goal in the third quarter, but LSU dominated the second half. Quarterback Jayden Daniels finished 22-of-37 for 1 touchdown. He also rushed for 93 yards and 1 touchdown. LSU’s running game was too much for MSU’s defense in the second half.
MSU’s defense struggled covering receiver Malik Nabers in the second half, too, as he caught 6 passes for 76 yards on the night.
It was obvious that LSU played much better than MSU in the second half. It was also obvious the coaching adjustments that Brian Kelly and Matt House made in the second half were a major key. LSU’s defense stifled Leach’s offense in the second half.
Because of his team’s second-half collapse, Leach caught criticism after the loss to LSU.
Can we be done with the whole Mike Leach causing problems for the SEC narrative?

?? #Hailstate is the better team but Mike Leach screwed it up in the first half with his decisions.

I hope @Coach_Leach and this team are embarrassed af after this performance. One reason to lose the game like this, get absolutely outcoached. That’s what happened. Well done

Mike Leach is a fraud that belongs nowhere near the SEC.

I never understood the hype surrounding Mississippi State this week.
Mike Leach struggles to win games like this.
And it’s not like LSU is a bad football team. Tigers have talent on their roster.

Fire Mike Leach can begin now. We had this team beat.

Pathetic! That’s what happens when your offense can’t score. The defense been on the field too long. Mike Leach gotta take full responsibility for this.

Mike Leach played the 2H like an idiot but respect to LSU
