Mississippi State releases first depth chart of season ahead of LSU game

Mississippi State released its first depth chart of the season as the Bulldogs prepare to travel to LSU this week.
Some of the notable revelations are the quarterback position is still an “or” between K.J. Costello and Will Rogers. Star RB Kylin Hill is listed as the starter in the backfield, and the wide receivers shake out like this: Malik Heath or Cameron Gardner, JaVonta Payton, Austin Williams and Tyrell Shavers.
At cornerback, Esaias Furdge will start opposite Martin Emerson, while Londyn Craft starts at strong safety. On special teams, Brandon Ruiz will be the kicker.
