Mississippi State was supposed to welcome Auburn to Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday. However, the game was postponed as both teams are dealing with positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing.

Now, the Bulldogs are hosting the Tigers on Dec. 12 in what is currently scheduled as their regular-season finale (and will be if they don’t have any more postponements). And although that game is now a month away, Mississippi State did a good job keeping the hype built for that SEC West matchup.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs went on with revealing their uniform combination for the Auburn game. They’ll be donning an all-black look for the matchup, and they revealed that combination with an intense Bane-themed video on Twitter:

Last week, Mississippi State ended its four-game losing streak with a home win over Vanderbilt. Now, it isn’t scheduled to return to action until Nov. 21 when it travels to take on No. 12 Georgia.

With the Bulldogs set to face Auburn later in the year, they’ll have an opportunity to potentially end the season with a big win over the Tigers, who are currently ranked No. 24 in the country. Mississippi State trails in the all-time series, 64-27-2, and it lost when the two teams played in 2019. However, the Bulldogs won the last time Auburn came to Starkville in 2018.

With this matchup moved to December, the kickoff time and TV information won’t be announced until a later date.
