The Mississippi State Bulldogs are dealing with a legal situation as a Week 2 game against NC State approaches.

Per a report from the Daily Journal, starting OL Kwatrivous “Dollarbill” Johnson was arrested for malicious mischief on Monday.

The report details the police response, adding that Johnson has a court date for Oct. 5 — during Mississippi State’s off week:

Police responded to a disturbance call at Aspen Heights Apartments on Blackjack Road at 1:21 p.m., per a release from the Oktibbeha County sheriff’s office.

Johnson was logged in at 1:42 p.m. and released less than two hours later on $482.25 bond. The press release states that Johnson has a scheduled appearance in Oktibbeha County Justice Court on Oct. 5.

Head coach Mike Leach said in a statement that the school is gathering more information and has no comment at the moment:

“We’re aware of the situation,” Leach said in a statement. “We’re gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”

Johnson started 3 games last year and started at right guard in Mississippi State’s win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
