According to Mississippi State Assistant Athletic Director Bill Martin, no SEC player has had multiple catches in a season, let alone a single game.

Gray currently has 479 yards and four touchdowns on 25 receptions during his second season with Mississippi State. The former JUCO standout joined the program as a four-star signee in 2015.

After the game, Gray got emotional when discussing his breakout performance.

Surely, the redshirt junior will be considered for this week’s SEC Offensive Player of the Week award after his historic performance.
