As the coaching carousel continues to spin, there have been plenty of former and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaches listed as candidates for jobs.

From Jon Gruden rumors to the botched Greg Schiano hiring at Tennessee to a new report out of Starkville, the Bucs have been a stop for some big-name candidates.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Mississippi State is very interested in making Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken its next head coach.

If Monken is Mississippi State’s top candidate, they have a good shot of landing him. But it would be a huge loss to the Bucs.

Monken has done an outstanding job with the Bucs receivers.

The Bulldogs will likely look for an offensive-minded head coach to follow in Dan Mullen’s footsteps, as the new Florida head coach had unprecedented success at Mississippi State.

Monken certainly fits that bill, so it will be interesting to see how talks with him play out as the Bulldogs continue to vet top candidates.
