The NFL Draft season always makes for some interesting takes, and this year’s hot topic is whether Heisman Trophy-winning Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray will be the No. 1 overall pick or not.

The Arizona Cardinals are keeping everyone in the dark about their plans, but even if they don’t pick Murray, he’ll almost certainly still be a top-10 pick.

So, on Sunday, when former Mississippi State (and current Dallas Cowboys) QB Dak Prescott issued a message to Murray telling him to prove the doubters wrong, it was a bit strange:

Sure, Murray was doubted coming out of high school, but since 2018, he’s been a first-round pick in the MLB Draft, won the Heisman Trophy, made the College Football Playoff and is now in the mix to be the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick. If that’s what being doubted is like, sign me up!

Prescott, who was a fourth-round pick, knows WAY more about being doubted. Perhaps he should have sent this message to his former teammate — Nick Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald will be sweating out the draft to see if and when he gets selected.
