Eli Drinkwitz not panicking after loss at Kentucky: 'I saw a bunch of fighters in that locker room'
Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers went into Lexington on Saturday night and lost to Kentucky 35-28.
Every time it looked like Kentucky was going to break things open, the Tigers came clawing back. However, a last-chance effort to tie the game fell short.
After the loss, Drinkwitz spoke with the media. He acknowledged that Kentucky was the better team on Saturday night while also stressing the importance for Mizzou nation to remain calm.

On Connor Bazelak’s performance and an injury suffered on the final drive:
Drinkwitz says Bazelak will be sore tomorrow. "More important he'll be pissed off we lost."

He said that he wished he had that interception back, and said that was on his play calling.

The Tigers host Southeast Missouri on Saturday before heading to Boston College in Week 4. That road trip will tell us a lot about this year’s Mizzou squad.
