Joel Klatt is baffled by the line for the Week 3 contest between No. 15 Kansas State and host Missouri. This will a rematch of last season’s meeting in which Kansas State cruised to a 40-12 win.

In the matchup between a pair of 2-0 teams, Kansas State is currently favored by 4.5 points. The FOX Sports analyst is skeptical of the line and expects a much larger Kansas State victory.

“Hold on a second. This feels like a trap. Someone knows something that I don’t,” Klatt said. “Kansas State is going to beat Missouri by multiple possessions.”

Klatt believes the line is another example of looking past an underrated program such as reigning Big 12 champion Kansas State.

“All of us are overlooking Kansas State. We do it every year. We’ve been doing it since the Bill Snyder days,” Klatt said. “This team is really good. Nobody wants to talk about it.”

Kansas State quarterback Will Howard has passed for 547 yards along with accounting for 8 touchdowns (5 passing, 3 rushing) this season. Howard proved his worth last season during the stretch before Kansas State fell to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

“Will Howard is basically undefeated outside of facing Bryce Young and Missouri is only a dog by 4 and a half?” Klatt said.

Missouri features explosive wide receiver Luther Burden III (15 receptions, 213 yards, 1 touchdown) but Klatt describes the Tigers as a 1-dimensional offense.

“Outside of that, what do they have?” Klatt said. “They certainly can’t run the ball.”

Kansas State at Missouri is slated for Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. EST and will be televised on the SEC Network.
