Luther Burden draws rave reviews on social media as 5-star freshman shines in first half for Mizzou
Luther Burden came to Mizzou as one of the most hyped Tigers ever. The 5-star receiver out of East St. Louis had major expectations, and he’s lived up to them in Game 1.
Against Louisiana Tech, Burden put together 2 catches for 25 yards and also had 3 carries for 17 yards and a touchdown.
His touchdown was impressive, as he dodged 4 would-be tacklers to find pay dirt on a play that should have been stopped behind the line of scrimmage:
Imagine being one of the top recruits in the country and exceeding every possible expectation in your debut.

Naturally, social media was abuzz with praise for Burden. Despite the Tigers’ struggles to find consistent offense, fans know the future is bright for the 5-star freshman:
Luther Burden has made me giggle three times in his first 19 minutes as a college receiver.

Can he continue making plays in the second half? The Tigers will need him to be electric for the rest of the game and moving forward this season.
