Missouri landed a commitment that will go toward helping fix one of the biggest holes on the roster Tuesday as receiver Jafar Armstrong pledged to the Tigers.

Armstrong announced the news on Twitter:

The 6-foot, 200-pound Armstrong is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 2 player from Kansas and the No. 80 receiver in the nation, according to 247Sports. Armstrong chose the Tigers over Kansas, Illinois, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Soon after receiving the Missouri offer, Armstrong knew where he intended to play his college football.

“I was stoked obviously,” Armstrong said according to Tod Palmer of the Kansas City Star. “That’s a huge offer — an SEC school and playing against teams like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina. That’s a dream. You always see them on TV and now, having a chance to play against them, that’s good stuff. The offer solidified my decision. I wanted to commit on the spot, but I took a few days to think about it and talked it over with my parents. In the end, it was a no-brainer. Mizzou is home to me.”

While Armstrong may yet to have piled up an extensive list of offers just yet, it appears he got the only one he ever wanted and may be ready to shut down his recruitment:

“I think I’m done,” Armstrong continued. “Mizzou’s always been home to me. I’m pretty sure this is a hard commitment. I’m done with recruitment.”
