When WR Dimetrios Mason was dismissed from the team earlier this year, Mizzou turned to Emanuel Hall to fill the void.

Hall has done just that, providing a legitimate deep threat opposite of WR J’Mon Moore and giving QB Drew Lock another reliable target.

Hall has caught 26 passes for 604 yards and four touchdowns, with all four touchdowns coming after the Tigers’ Week 5 bye. Lock told STLToday.com that Hall’s speed makes him a legitimate threat on the outside:

“It might have something to do with it,” quarterback Drew Lock said after Tuesday’s practice. “(Having someone) who can run by pretty much anyone in the country on your side of the ball is pretty helpful, especially for a quarterback that can trust a guy in a 1-on-1 situation 100 percent of the time.”

Moore added that having Hall on the opposite side of the offense from him makes it easier for him to find room against defenses. He said if teams focus on him instead of Hall, Hall will burn them deep:

“Shoot, that helps me a lot,” Moore said. “It allows me to breathe and do a little something, too. We’ve got a threat on both sides. You can’t just key in on one person. You have to open your eyes. If you key on me, E-Man is going to get you.”

Mizzou’s offense has certainly improved since the bye week, and Hall is a huge part of that. He’ll have to have another big game against Tennessee on Saturday if the Tigers are going to win.
