Mizzou to host talented OL with SEC interest on official visit
Missouri is looking to add to its offensive line ranks through the transfer portal with the program working to build on its 1st season in a New Year’s 6 bowl. Makylan Pounders, who spent 3 seasons with Memphis before entering the transfer portal, announced through a post on X that he will officially visit Missouri on January 5.
A Byhailia, Miss. product, Pounders signed with the Tigers out of the class of 2021. He redshirted as a true freshman and suffered injury in 2022 before becoming a key contributor up front in 2023, settling in at left tackle.
He has received interest from SEC programs with Auburn and South Carolina extending offers. He took a visit to Auburn a few days ago and, according to On3, could also take one to Mississippi State.
Mizzou is currently 10-2 and will look to claim its 1st 11-win season in nearly a decade with a win over Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl Classic. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz was named the SEC Coach of the Year for his efforts.
