No. 7-seed Mizzou only recorded 4 hits in Friday’s SEC Tournament semifinal game against No. 3-seed Tennessee. Three of those 4 Tiger hits left the yard in Gainesville, Florida. The 3 solo shots lifted Mizzou to a 3-0 win over the Vols and a spot in the tournament’s championship game Saturday.

Kimberly Wert broke the scoring ice in the top of the 4th inning with an opposite-field homer.

In the top of the 5th inning, Hatti Moore kept the scoring going, crushing a solo shot to a palm tree beyond the wall in left center field.

Play was suspended in the top of the 5th inning due to weather. The delay went for 2 hours and 32 minutes before play finally resumed. In Mizzou’s final at-bat, Kara Daly added an insurance run with a solo homer to left field.

On the mound, Jordan Weber tossed 7 shutout innings. The Tigers will face the winner of No. 1-seed Arkansas vs. No. 5-seed Florida. The SEC Tournament Championship is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET on Saturday.
