Last year, former Mizzou DE Markus Golden burst onto the scene in the NFL, terrorizing opposing quarterbacks to the tune of 12.5 sacks.

However, the third-year Arizona Cardinal got some bad news on Sunday in a victory over the San Francisco 49ers, as he suffered a serious knee injury.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Golden is expected to miss the rest of the year with an ACL tear:

Golden had yet to record a sack in 2017, but had 11 tackles for the Cardinals through four games.

The 2015 second-round pick is an important part of the Arizona defense, and the 2-2 Cardinals will certainly miss the talented player.

How much time he’s going to miss remains to be seen, but hopefully the former Mizzou star is able to be back at full strength next year.
