West Virginia online casino revenue managed to reach a new high in revenue for the month of March.
Last month, the collective WV online casinos produced approximately $42.0 million in revenue, just topping its previous record of $41.7 million in January.
This marks just the second time that the Mountain State has crossed $40 million in iGaming revenue for a month.
Compared to March 2025, online casino revenue in the state is up 39.5%, as it came in at $30.1 million a year ago.
How March WV Online Casino Revenue is Tabulated
The West Virginia Lottery releases weekly revenue reports on iGaming through their website, so there are not clear-cut monthly totals, but you can get a good approximation of how things are.
Reports are slotted by the ending of each week, Here’s how each looked in March.
- Week ending March 7: $10,654,324
- Week ending March 14: $8,720,276
- Week ending March 21: $9,633,533
- Week ending March 28: $9,270,881
- Week ending April 4: $8,765,843 (averages to $3,756,790 over 3 days)
- Total: $42,035,804
The week ending April 4 is done by average, so that is why we say the monthly total was approximately $42 million.
With the 15% tax rate on the revenue, $6.31 million was generated for the state through March’s online casino play.
March Sees Weekly Revenue Record
Along with the monthly revenue record, March also saw a weekly iGaming revenue record.
In the first week, the state surpassed $10 million in revenue for the first time in history, and it did so by a wide margin.
The week ending March 7 recorded $10.65 million, up about $800,000 from the previous mark of $9.86 million, which occurred the week ending February 7.
Just one week in all of Fiscal year 2025 (ending June 30) did iGaming revenue surpass $8 million in a single week. Including the first two weeks of April, West Virginia has surpassed at least $8 million in revenue for 16 consecutive weeks. That includes eight weeks where it surpassed at least $9 million.
