The Razorbacks announced that news on Sunday afternoon:

Wood has been Arkansas’s No. 2 starting pitcher throughout this postseason. He also pitched in critical games vs. Creighton and Tennessee earlier this month. Against the Vols in the Super Regionals, Wood out-dueled Liam Doyle as he threw 3.1 innings of 1-run ball. In the start prior to that, he struck out 13 Creighton batters in 6 innings of work.

Arkansas used Zach Root and Gabe Gaeckle in its 4-1 loss to LSU on Saturday. Root threw just 38 pitches, so it’s possible he will be available out of the bullpen if necessary. Gaeckle pitched 6 innings so he’s likely to be on the shelf for multiple days as Arkansas tries to work its way back into College World Series contention.

Arkansas will need to win 4 games in a row in order to reach the CWS finals. That journey begins at 2 p.m. ET against Murray State on Monday afternoon. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
