LSU and Coastal Carolina will battle on Sunday afternoon in Game 2 of the College World Series finals.

The Tigers took Game 1 with a 1-0 victory, meaning they are now just 1 victory away from an 8th national championship in program history. That would put LSU one step closer to USC’s 12 national titles all-time.

LSU: RHP Anthony Eyanson | 2.92 ERA in 101.2 innings | 143 strikeouts | 35 walks
Coastal Carolina: RHP Jacob Morrison | 2.08 ERA in 104 innings | 102 strikeouts | 22 walks

Eyanson is expected to get the ball on Sunday for the Tigers following Kade Anderson’s historic complete game-shutout on Saturday in Game 1. Eyanson has elite strikeout stuff, but has struggled a bit during the postseason. He’ll look to get back on track against a Coastal Carolina lineup that’s coming off of a loss for the first time since April.

Morrison is Coastal Carolina’s ace. He’ll be on 6 day’s rest for this game so the Chanticleers should have a good chance to even the series on Sunday afternoon. Morrison has been excellent this postseason and has limited Oregon and Arizona to a combined 2 earned runs across his last 13.2 innings pitched.
