The top 16 seeds will be Regional hosts, and D1Baseball currently has 7 SEC teams in that group. Those hosts, however, would like to be in the top-8 seeds and control their own destiny when it comes to where a Super Regional would be played. Five SEC teams are now in the top-8 group, up from 4 last week as Alabama now checks in at No. 7.
Outside the top-32 seeds, Kentucky is considered to be on the bubble and one of the Last Four In to make the field of 64.
Here are the latest D1Baseball projections:
- Georgia — No. 3 overall seed, Athens Regional host
- Auburn — No. 4 overall seed, Auburn Regional host
- Texas — No. 6 overall seed, Austin Regional host
