College GameDay is headed to a familiar location on February 6.
ESPN’s long-running pregame show revealed on X on Saturday that it will be on the North Carolina campus ahead of the latest chapter of UNC-Duke. February 6 marks the 266th meeting between the two schools and the fifth consecutive time GameDay has been at the site of the twice-yearly game between the two archrivals.
After a Sweet 16 season in 2024, the Tar Heels suffered a disappointing first-round exit in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. After a 13-1 start to the 2025-26 campaign, UNC went on to lose three of its next four. But it’s now won back-to-back games to move to 16-4 (4-3 ACC).
The Blue Devils, on the other hand, are soaring after a Final Four appearance and have looked just fine in the post-Cooper Flagg era. Thanks to another freshman phenom, Cameron Boozer, they came into Saturday at 19-1 overall (8-0 ACC). Duke’s only blemish came on Dec. 20 as it blew a 17-point lead in an 82-81 loss to Texas Tech at Madison Square Garden.
After February 7’s contest at the Dean Smith Center, the teams meet again on March 7 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Duke swept the season series in 2025, winning 87-80 in Durham before an 82-69 victory in Chapel Hill.
