Former South Carolina basketball star Collin Murray Boyles is set to don No. 30 once again. The Toronto Raptors forward will be switching from his current No. 12 jersey back to No. 30, the same number he wore in college, in 2026-27.

Former Kansas guard/wing Ochai Agbaji wore No. 30 when CMB arrived in Toronto last season. With Agbaji now in Brooklyn, the number was open for Murray-Boyles to scoop.

Murray-Boyles is currently slated to come off the bench for a Raptors team that is starting to put together a really strong roster. The former first-round draft pick starred at South Carolina and his game has so far translated to the NBA.

During his freshman year, Murray-Boyles averaged 8.5 points and 5 rebounds per game while shooting just under 60% from the field, also averaging just under 2 stocks (blocks + steals) across just 21.9 minutes of action. Those are fantastic numbers for a rookie, and he’s only set to get better at the age of 21 heading into his sophomore season in the NBA. The best word to describe Murray-Boyles is “smooth.”

As alluded to, Murray-Boyles’ defense is eye-opening. He proved to be a versatile defender in Year 1, able to guard multiple positions with some size at 6-foot-7.
