Mark Sears went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, but the former Alabama great and 2-time first team All-SEC selection landed on an NBA roster after the Milwaukee Bucks signed him to a two-way contract with their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.

Sears wore the No. 1 during his time in Tuscaloosa. That won’t be an option in the pros, as that number is retired by the Bucks in honor of Hall of Fame point guard Oscar Robertson, who played with the team in the 1970s.

On Thursday, the Bucks revealed that Sears will wear No. 19, as you can see below:

Sears, whose collegiate career began at Ohio, transferred to Alabama in 2022 and became one of the most decorated players in program history. He left the Tide at No. 2 on its career scoring list, his 797 points in 2023-24 and 690 in 2024-25 ranking 1st and 4th all-time in a single season, respectively. His 435 assists rank sixth in the program’s record books. He was a central figure of the Tide’s 2024 Final Four team, their first appearance there in program history.

In 2021-22, his final season at Ohio, he totaled 668 points, the program’s 4th-highest total in a single season, en route to first-team All-MAC accolades.
