Some coaching splits are harder to get over than others. On Tuesday, some Xavier fans decided to travel to Dayton for the purpose of heckling former Musketeers coach Sean Miller as his Texas Longhorns faced NC State.

Dayton is about 50 minutes from the Xavier campus. For some fans, the trip may have been shorter or longer depending on the starting location. At least some Musketeers fans who went just for a Miller “hate watch” made sure they were heard.

With Texas victorious over NC State, Miller was able to handle some postgame heckling. He gave horns down back at one trolling fan and threw up an X.

Miller, 57, had two stints at Xavier. After serving as an assistant from 2001-04, he became the program’s head coach from 2004-09. He left Xavier for Arizona in 2009. After being fired in 2021 due to scandal, Miller returned to Xavier in 2022. He coached the Musketeers through 2024-25 before leaving for Texas.

In 8 seasons at Xavier, Miller posted a 185-87 record.
