4-star 2021 DE Monkell Goodwine updates recruitment with new top 5, includes 3 SEC teams

As the 2021 recruiting cycle moves forward, uncommitted prospects are starting to focus on their top teams.
National Christian Academy DE Monkell Goodwine recently shared an update to his recruitment via his Twitter account, naming a new top 5 of Alabama, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Arizona State and Clemson. In March, Goodwine told a reporter that his top 5 teams were Tennessee, Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and Oklahoma. Clemson did not offer a scholarship until April while Arizona State did not offer until June. Texas A&M is viewed as the current leader for Goodwine having picked up a pair of Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports.
The Fort Washington, Maryland, native is listed at 6-4, 260 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 4 recruit in the state, No. 9 strong-side defensive end and No. 112 prospect overall in the 2021 class on the 247Sports Composite. In May 2019, he participated in “The Opening Regional” and logged a 4.88-second 40-yard dash, 4.51-second shuttle time, 23.20-inch vertical, and a 78.50-inch wingspan.
