Sad news to pass along this Saturday: a member of Auburn’s 2010 national championship has passed away.

The W.S. Neal (East Brewton, Alabama) football program announced that former Tiger Jamar Travis has died. The announcement, which can be seen in the embedded Facebook post below, does not state a cause of death or make any mention of funeral arrangements.

Travis signed with Auburn in 2009. He did not start for AU, but was a reserve defensive lineman and contributed on special teams. He logged nine total tackles in three seasons (2010-12) on the team, according to college football stats site sports-reference.com.
