Gus Malzahn is dealing with a host of injuries to his Auburn team, but not many appear to be serious.

One notable absence was LB K.J. Britt, but he was just out of practice. Malzahn expects that he’ll be back on Thursday, or soon after that. He’s not sure if WR Eli Stove, who sustained a minor knee injury on Saturday, would scrimmage on Thursday. Malzahn said Stove is “in a good spot” and the coaching staff just wanted to be careful with he and LB Michael Harris.

“Overall, I like where our team’s energy is, it’s hot, we’ve strained, and that’s good,” he said. “It’s been physical and that’s been by design, too.”

Malzahn said the team would have a day off on Wednesday ahead of the Thursday scrimmage.

Malzahn also offered an update on the surgery to repair a broken hand to speedster Anthony Schwartz.
